Course Description

G-400 - Advanced Incident Command System, Command and General Staff

This one and a half day course provides training and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). The course expands upon information covered in the ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses.

Target Audience:
State, county, local officials and volunteers who may assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents or Type 3 incidents.

How this course is offered:

A jurisdiction may request that it be conducted locally by coordinating verbally in advance with the appropriate District Coordinator and then submit a written request to TDEM via the form here.

This course can also be taught by a graduate of the G-449 course.


Prerequisites & Other Information:
Students will NOT be approved until all prerequisites have been UPLOADED to their transcript. These courses are the following:

ICS-100 (Introduction to ICS)
ICS-200 (Basic ICS)
ICS-300 (Intermediate ICS)
IS-700 (Introduction to NIMS)
IS-800 (Introduction to NRF)

No tuition is charged.
This Course is considered Local and TDEM will not pay any stipends to attend this course.
