Financial Donations: If you are an individual, please remember that CASH IS BEST at this time. Please donate to a Texas VOAD Member or a National VOAD Member to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
We have also included an in-kind donation form for individuals, that can be found here. If you are a company seeking to donate goods to the Hurricane Harvey Response efforts, please fill out the form located on the Corporate Donations page. This information will be sent to the appropriate parties as needs arise.
If you would like to volunteer for a National VOAD member organization, please visit the Volunteer page HERE
FEMA has produced a short accessible video about flood safety, including flood vocabulary and safety tips. The video is in American Sign Language, narrated and captioned. There are no visuals in the video other than the staff person standing in front flags providing the message in American Sign Language. The video is available at this website: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-iYio9UqDQ&feature=youtu.
TEXAS EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT BRIEFS, TIPS AND LINKS
The Training Unit would like to thank all of you for your response, assistance, and dedication to helping the citizens of Texas through these hard times. As training is always important and needed, saving lives and rebuilding is our primary concern at this time. As you will see in the coming weeks, several classes will be rescheduled or cancelled. We will work with local jurisdictions in getting those training and others back in the system to support our citizens and your needs. Thanks for all you do for the Great State of Texas.
